The Role:

We are passionate about designing stylish and affordable pet beds that will look great in any home! Pet Dreams has been developing innovative pet beds since 1999. Our products are sold in pet stores nationwide, mail order catalogs, and many websites including petdreams.com, petsmart.com, amazon.com, petco.com, among others.

You will be an integral contributor to the Pet Dreams team, reporting directly to the CEO and interacting closely with our customers.  Daily responsibilities include basic bookkeeping (AR, AP and inventory management on several ecommerce sites) along with updating and discontinuing SKUs as well as order management. Your talents will then expand into forecasting with massively large spreadsheets, SKU management (we have over 300) and all things operations. As we grow and provide you with training, your skills and your business acumen will grow.

Specifically, the scope of your responsibilities will expand into overseeing all of the following areas as you demonstrate that you are ready:

  • Production support (e.g., determining cost per SKU)
  • Financial planning (e.g., sales forecasting and cash flow analysis)
  • Resource allocation (e.g., optimizing inventory and minimizing COGS)
  • Corporate accounting (e.g., processing chargebacks and cash management)

You will likely have 2 or more years of work experience and a degree in accounting or a related field, along with strong Excel and QuickBooks expertise.  We are looking for someone with a strategic mindset who is interested in business and how organizations work.
